Mungarra Kindergarten has been operating since 2012, nestled in the leafy suburb of St Ives on the North Shore, on a quiet suburban street. Our family run business operates 5 days a week between the hours of 745am to 545pm. With only 25 children per day, we aim to provide a ‘second home’ feeling for all children and families.
Our goal is to provide children a supportive environment to thrive in their early years with education, health, development and general wellbeing. We provide a stimulating and safe nurturing learning environment that encourages children to discover the world around them. We cater for all children aged between 18months and 6years.
Family involvement is an important part of our program planning. All families are encouraged to share significant events, holidays, hobbies and passions with us!
Here at Mungarra, we have a genuine commitment to inclusion for all children, and a passion for equality amongst all children and educators. All of our educators are trained in first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma.
We have a number of procedures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children with medical conditions and allergies (including anaphylaxis). Our diverse team of educators speak a multitude of languages, ensuring all children (including those with English as a second language) are supported and engaged in the educational program.
We also work closely with a KU inclusion support officer who provides strategies and professional development for educators with children in their classroom with additional needs.
