Barn Owls 1.5yrs to 2.5yrs

This age group is our youngest group. In this group we focus on settling in, and forming a positive relationship and bond between educator, child and family. We aim to have your child’s first experience within a care setting a positive one. We encourage child’s development in vocabulary and communication, along with emotional regulation. This group is capped at 5 children maximum per day, to ensure the environment remains calm and is not overwhelming for the children.

Snowy Owls 2.5yrs to 3.5yrs

In the snowy owl room, the children’s independence is encouraged and supported. Social interactions between peers are promoted and nurtured

Chestnut Owls 3.yrs to School age

(including school readiness program)

The chestnut owls consist of up to fifteen children per day with two educators. The educators collaborate with the children to feel supported, connected and evolve their learning socially, emotionally, physically and through our school readiness program. Our school readiness program is implemented into the rhythm of the day which the children are preparing for kindergarten the whole year round in the chestnut owl room. The children develop independence and responsibility throughout real-life experience and activities. The children’s learning and interests are guided through open-ended experiences and are assisted to expand their skills, knowledge and development. The program consists of children’s interest, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), outdoor play, dramatic play and more which allow for children to explore deeper into the various subjects to build their knowledge and development.

We work closely with families to cater for all needs, abilities and cultural backgrounds to allow for the experiences to be meaningful and individualise each child’s development. We as educators respond to children’s interests and needs to ensure the children are reaching their full potential and individual goals. We extend on the children’s learning to best prepare each child for success the following year.
